Types of cables- VGA cables

VGA cables are a type of extension cables transmitting video signals between PC’s or laptop and displays or projectors. It is also known as VGA extension, monitor cable, computer cable and VGA video cable. These cables are generally long and cover large amount of distance between PC and the display, thus allowing a person to view the display even about 100 feet away from the PC. If the distance is above 100 feet and till about 1000 feet then it is better to opt for VGA video extender above Cat5 and UTP VGA Video splitter extender since the VGA cables are expensive. The construction of VGA computer cables ensures excellent picture quality with a resolution of 1600 * 1200 not inclusive of degradation or ghosting of images. Also such cables are compatible with MAC, SUN or PC systems having VGA Video connectors.

The cable is made using coaxial and twisted pair signal lines along with ferrite cores on both ends, such cables can offer best possible video performance. Also the VGA connector is protected by copper braiding and aluminized Mylar foil. To enable noise suppression there are gold plated pins on the connectors and for taking precautions for no loss of data there is a triple shielding feature. Multicoax technology is used to construct the cables. VGA cables are CL tested and authenticated and are found in different lengths ranging from 3 ft to 100 ft. These cables are great to use and are cost effective solutions for replacement of older configurations with digital technology.
